My Third Little Prince...

Today we went for our 20 week ultrasound...
It was AWESOME! We praise the Lord for a wonderful appointment,
and great news for our little man...
He danced around the whole time, and it was so fun to see him having a good time in there! :) I can't wait to meet our Sawyer Wright Traynum...

Melt my Heart...

The Traynum house was attacked by the stomach bug last week...
In the midst of all the chaos, my boys still continued to melt my heart.
Here are a few things I am writing down so that I don't forget:

1. Cooper, on his own, decided that he needed to "spit" in the potty. So whenever he needed to "spit" that is where he went. Well, during one of his episodes he didn't make it and threw up in the hallway. He later said to me: "Mommy, I am sorry I didn't make it to the potty. It just came out in the hall." Poor little guy...

2. We were eating dinner Sat. night and I was not feeling good. Here is our conversation:
Cooper: "Mommy, do you want to lay down with me and watch "Lightning" (aka Cars)?"
Me: "Sure, honey. That sounds great. Let me finish my applesauce first."
Cooper: "Ok, Mommy. Let's go."
After a few minutes, I get up and go lay down on the couch.
Cooper: "Oh Mommy, let me get you a pillow. The sofa is cold."
Me: "Awww...thank you Buddy. You are so sweet."
Cooper grabs a pillow and puts it under my head.
I lay down, and Cooper sits behind me.
Cooper starts rubbing my arms and back.
Cooper: "Mommy, I am petting you."
All of a sudden, it hits me and I run to the bathroom.
I didn't think Cooper would follow me, but he did. I saw him out the corner of my eye getting upset as he watched me "spit"--
He proceeded to go tell Steven what was going on...
I love that boy. It melts my heart that he is already so sweet and caring at such a young age.

3. Yesterday at lunch, Cooper said over and over again "Mommy, you are a hard worker." Haha... I don't know where he learned that, but it sure made me feel good! :) He continued to tell me that I was so sweet and that he loved me...

4. I just love my boys. They love and hug on me constantly. Man, they make me feel so special, and make me realize how blessed I truly am.

This morning Hudson was sitting on the couch with me, and Cooper was sitting on the floor. Here is how the rest goes...
Hudson: Gets down and starts rubbing Cooper's hair
Cooper: Continues to just sit there
Hudson: Puts his arm around Cooper and hugs him
Cooper: "Awww...Hudson...You are so sweet!"
They continued hugging for about 30 seconds...
MELT my heart!
Thank you Jesus for my sweet, sweet boys!

Our Little Lime

The Traynum family now has a new appreciation

for limes (as least this week)...
We have a 3rd little blessing due around August 20th!
I am 12 weeks pregnant, and we
PRAISE THE LORD for His sweet miracles!
Right now our little one is the size of a lime.
We had our first appointment this past Monday, and everything looked great!
The doctor was not able to find his/her heartbeat with the doppler, so we got
an ultrasound...
It was so amazing to already see this little one moving around like crazy and
just doing the happy dance when we had a sneak peek! What a miracle!
We would truly appreciate prayers for this sweet little one
during the next weeks and months to come!

Today we took a break from our "crazy" life, and just spent time together at Sky Top Orchard in NC. It was WONDERFUL! We had a great time picking apples, feeding animals, taking a tractor ride, and just being together as a family!

I'M A BIG KID NOW!!!
Cooper loves his "big boy" undies (especially his orange ones)!

Cooper's famous "BIG SMILE"

He has become such a "big boy" over the past 4 months. One of my
favorite ways I have seen him grow is as a loving big brother. As soon as Hudson

came home, he immediately took the role of an AWESOME big brother!
He is constantly asking me, "Where Hudson go?"
and asking Hudson, "How you doing Hudson?"
Hudson is always getting hugs and kisses, as well as trucks and cars in his lap. Cooper
can't wait for Hudson to be able to "play" with him, and Hudson can't wait to "play" with Cooper. I thank the Lord constantly for two incredibly sweet boys who already love each other so much!

We made another fun trip to Alabama!!! The boys did awesome both ways, and I could not have done it without my mom! Steven and my dad had to stay at home, but we were up for the adventure! Cooper loved Uncle "Uke", Aunt "Ashee", and Sadie! We can't wait until they move closer! :)

I know I have been terrible about updating the blog lately, but just wanted you to know that Hudson Moore Traynum arrived Sunday, October 18th! My water broke around 3:15 Sunday morning, and he was born at 9:51 am. He was only 36 1/2 weeks but weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces! He is doing AWESOME! The Lord blessed us with a wonderful experience, and we were so happy to be able to come home the next day (Monday afternoon). I promise to post pictures soon of our new little man (and his big brother)! Cooper loves his brother, and we are so excited about this next chapter in our life. Thank you so much for all of your prayers over these past months!!!! Pictures coming soon!

We are sooo excited! Today we saw our
"Little Munchkin" for the first time! What a blessing from the Lord!
It was awesome to see our other "little man" move around! His little profile was absolutely adorable (and actually looks a lot like Cooper's did)! He was sucking, picking up his leg, and just all stretched out---
As the ultrasound tech said, "He is a proud boy!" haha
We just can't wait to meet him...

I am now almost 17 weeks pregnant and feeling great! Sickness is over, and we're moving along pretty good! We go back to the doctor on June 19th to find out if Cooper is having a baby brother or baby sister...so exciting!

I just wanted to tell my sweet, intelligent, handy husband
THANK YOU! He has spent the last 11 days remodeling our bathroom...walls, floor,
ceiling, tub, sink, and on and on. He is amazing and has saved us a ton of money!
We are hoping that he will be pretty much finished by tonight. He has been leaving around 7am and getting back to where we are staying around 10-11pm.
Cooper and I have spent these past 11 days with family... who we truly appreciate letting us stay with them!

We had the BEST time picking strawberries the other day! Cooper and his friends had a blast! It was one of the most fun times I have had with him because his little personality really showed. Cooper met Santa for the first time yesterday! He went with his friends Elizabeth and Thomas, and had a great time! They had fun taking pictures with Santa, rocking out to some Christmas music, and listening to some cool stories!

Change

Change can be good. That is one life lesson that I am continuing to ask God to help me with. I realize that it can be good---even when I may not think so.
I love going back through pictures of Cooper (all 2,000 of them!) and just thanking God for the amazing blessing He placed in our lives---something that I have wanted since I was a little girl. He definitely gave us more than I could ever have asked for---
Although I get sad looking at these pictures of him growing up, and how much he has changed, I am also very excited. I praise the Lord for putting His hand over our 5 lb. 8 oz. baby and helping him grow (so far) into an almost 20 lb. healthy little boy!

Hey! It's me...Cooper! I had such a fun weekend with Mama and Da-Da!

They took so many pictures of me because they kept saying I was so cute and adorable...whatever that means! Anyway, here is what I did this weekend...

First, I watched my first Carolina football game...GO GAMECOCKS!
(I was sleeping during the first two!)

Next, I watched Da-Da fix my windows that night...

Here is me being such a big boy! I can sit up now and I love it!

Then, they took me to the park on Sunday...

Today Cooper had a play date with two of his friends, Abigail and Eli. I went to middle school and high school with both of their moms! We had so much fun, and loved hanging out together!

The time has just flown by these past 6 months! It amazes us how much Cooper has changed. It feels like just yesterday that we were told to go to the hospital, before we left for Greenville, just to make sure I wasn't going into labor. Surprise, Surprise--we had our little baby boy (that we were dying to meet) 2 days later, and wore out our tires for the next week with our constant trips to the hospital to feed and love on him! Now, 6 months later, he has gained 10 pounds, and has grown 8 inches! A day doesn't go by without praising the Lord for the wonderful blessing He has put in our lives!

Well, I have had a great several days. My cousin, Sadie, traveled all the way down from Mobile, Alabama to see me. Uncle Luke and Aunt Ashley drove her down here. We had such a great time together! I wish she lived closer, but she told me she heard her parents say that they wanted to move back to Columbia (hopefully soon)! Sadie is 2 1/2 months, and I am 5 months. You may not think we look 2 1/2 months apart, but I promise we are! When I was inside my Momma, I always heard her call me Peanut...well, I guess for now the name still sticks!

So... As I was putting Cooper to bed tonight, I just about cried holding him...The love that I have for my son is indescribable, and I just can't get enough of him. Several times today when he was tired, I just held him while he opened his big blue eyes and just starred at me...after a second or two he gave me this sweet smile! Needless to say, my heart melted just a few times today! I thank the Lord each day for the blessing that He has given me and Steven. Words just can't describe how grateful I am...

So...Cooper has a little girlfriend already. He loves her so much! Her name is Liza, and she is adorable! We love her family and have so much fun going on play dates with them! We are getting pictures of Cooper and Liza together already so that 100 years from now they can look back and see "love at first sight"!

Cooper went for his 4 month checkup (even though he is 4 1/2 months) on Thursday.
His birth weight was 5 pounds 8 ounces, and he dropped to 5 pounds. His length was
17 3/4 inches. He is now 12 pounds 7 ounces, and 24 inches long...supposedly (according to percentile) he is still a peanut! We praise the Lord though for His continued hand over Cooper and helping him grow strong and healthy...he has come a long way!

Life has just been one thing after another...

We were crazy to even think about moving with a 4 month old...We were even crazier to really follow through with our plans! We moved to the next street over about 5 weeks ago. This is one reason we have been so slack with the blog! The same week, I started back at work! It was not the best week of my life, however, the Lord helped me through it and I have enjoyed my last several weeks with my children. Mom has kept Cooper--What a blessing! She has been great, and we can't thank her enough! I only have 2 more days of school, and then I get to live my dream of being a stay at home momma! I praise the Lord for blessing me with this wonderful opportunity!

Home Sweet Home

Cooper finally said goodbye to all the Nurses at the hospital and came home to us on Sunday night, after 7 days in the hospital. We really would like to thank the staff at the hospital for all of their help and for taking such good care of Sarah and Cooper while they were there.

Cooper has already made two well visits to his pediatrician, and has gained 4 oz since Sunday morning. He now tips the scales at a whopping 5 lbs, 4 oz. He likes being at home, and we love having him here. Max (the dog) doesn't know what the heck this new thing is, and just about committed suicide by putting his feet up on the new crib to have a peek at this new noise-maker. Momma didn't take to kindly to that, but Max has been pardoned with probation.

Dad is back at work full time, and has been loving the dinners all the kind folks have been bringing to us. We'll post some more pictures once the copyright issues from the Baby-Gap shoot have been resolved.

The title of our last post was "7 weeks to go." We are happy to announce that we lied. On January 21, 2008, Cooper MacLeod Traynum played his first of many practical jokes on dear old Mom and Dad and decided to speed up our plans. At 8:36 pm, our 5 lb 8 oz, 17 3/4 inches long peanut made his debut. The early bird is doing great, as is his mother. While Sarah was discharged on Wednesday, little Cooper decided he wasn't quite done flirting with the nurses and wanted to stay a few extra days. He likes to play a little game where his temperature drops a little more than the doctors like, so they want to keep watch over him until he can maintain his temperature. We ask that you pray he grows like a weed, and becomes as stable as a horse enclosure (bad bad joke, sorry), and little Coop asks you pray the little girl with the pink ribbon goes to the prom with him in 18 years. On a little more serious note,
We want to thank everyone for your support and prayers. While Coop is doing great, it's really hard on us newbie parents not having him at home. Pray for Sarah and me as we support our son and begin to learn some of the greatest lessons of our life. We love you,

Today we went for our 28 week (almost 29 weeks) checkup! Praise the Lord for the good report. Everything is going well, and Cooper is doing great. I will now start going every 2 weeks. I can't believe how fast it is going by!
When we went for our 21 week ultrasound, Cooper was breech. We were not sure exactly how he was turned this week (since he is constantly on the go :) ), so the doctor took an ultrasound and we got to see our son...It was AMAZING! One of the coolest things was getting to see him "practice breathing." We CAN'T WAIT to meet him!
Only 2 1/2 months left!!!!!
